The National anthem of Qatar is “Al-Salam Al-Amiri” which means in English “The Peace for the Anthem”.
Qatar’s anthem lyrics were written by Sheikh MUBARAK bin Saif al-Thani and the music was written by Abdul Aziz Nasser OBAIDAN.
Adopted 1996.
The Anthem Was First Performed That Year At A Meeting Of The Gulf Cooperative Council Hosted By Qatar.

Qatar will always be free
By the spirit of the loyal

Travel by the guiding light of the Prophets
Qatar In my heart is a way
That respects the achievements of our forefathers
Qatar is land of the foremost men
Who protect us in time of distress,
Doves they can be at times of peace,
Warriors they are at times of sacrifice (Repeat 2ֳ—, then repeat first four lines)
